His Healing Power: Rise Up and Be Healed

Disclaimer: I am not a physician and I do not play one on television, but I am The physician's assistant. The Physician I work for is a Ph.D, Psy.D, an M.D and He specializes as well. He is a Cardiologist, Neurologist, he's a Hematologist, and an Oncologist, a Psychiatrist, a Psychologist, and an Optamologist just to name some of His specialities. He is a Savologist, Redeemologist, a Forgivologist, a Deliverologist just to give you a little bit of His credentials. He is able to do what no other can do. I came today to talk to you about the Great Physician I work for. I wonder if you know Him?

sick- affected with disease or ill health:: Ailing, spiritually or morally unsound or corrupt
disease: trouble, a condition of the living animal or plant body or of one of its parts that impairs normal functioning: SICKNESS, MALADY; a harmful development

There are over 80 different autoimmune diseases. What is an Autoimmune Disease?
It is when the immune system mistakenly attacks the body's own organs and tissues.
These diseases/disorders occur 75% more in women than men. An interesting thing about Autoimmune disorders/diseases is that they have a tendency to lead to vision problems and ultimately, blindness.
Some Autoimmune Disorders/Diseases many of us are familiar with are: Diabetes, Chrones Disease, Thyroid Diseases, Rhematoid Arthiritis, Multiple Sclerosis, and Lupus. There are many of us sitting right here today in the Body of Christ afflicted and sick with these diseases and some I did not even mention.
I mentioned these diseases have the tendency to lead to vision problems and ultimately, in some cases to blindness as with Diabetes. In the Bible Jesus dealt with blindness more than any other condition and if you study the Gospels where Jesus performed the miracles of healing those who were blind among many other illnesses and diseases, you will find every person He healed of Blindness was male. There were not any accounts in the Bible of women being healed of blindness, however, we know this does not mean there were not blind women. Nevertheless, all of the healings pertaining to blindness were men.
Matthew 10:1; James 5:13-16; John 9:1-11
John 12:40 (37-41) "be converted, and I should heal them"
Mark 2:1-12 What good would it do for him to be healed of the palsy and left in his sins? Jesus said in Mark 2:17 "they that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
Mark 8:22-26
Exodus 33:24 "No one living in Zion will say, 'I am ill': and the sins of those who dwell there will be forgiven.

Why is there sickness/disease in the Body of Christ?
1) Sin due to a failure to admit one is a sinner and asking for forgiveness of sins (repentance)- Jn. 12:40;
2) So that the works of God should be manifested - in John 9 said the blind man was blind from birth so that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
3) Humility or to keep one from thinking it's all about them- Paul in 2 Cor. 12:5-7 said, "Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities. For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure."
4)Unbelief -- John 12:37 (KJV)
37 But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:
5) Disobedience- 1Peter 2:7,8
Matthew 9:27-30 (KJV)
27 And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.
28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
30 And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.

What is the result of sickness/disease in the Body of Christ?
An immune system that mistakenly attacks the body's own organs and tissues. We have this group against that group. Then, within the local assembly brothers against brothers and sisters against sisters and brothers and sisters against one another talking about one another, causing strife and discord. Men of God attacking women of God because they don't believe women ought to preach. Autoimmune diseases lead to vision problems. I don't agree with the Pastor. I think he missed it on this one. The next thing you know blindness comes in. Physical and spiritual blindness. You have sick people who fail to obey the Scriptures James 5:13-16 (KJV)
13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

If we have blind men who are married and their wives are their help meet and she has the same vision he has because woman was taken out of man and man out of woman. If she is supposed to boldly stand out in front of him and see, how can she see if he's blind. Her vsion becomes impaired because he's blind and she sees what he sees. She has the same vision he has. Even if she can see some things she cannot produce what she sees without God's healing power. It becomes the blind leading the blind. The blind husband leading his wife who as his help meet is standing out in front of him trying to feel her way. Or, the wife who does not want to submit and be the help meet so she steps out in front and attempts to lead her husband in the way she thinks they ought to go. Then, we have disease. We have trouble. We have part of the body that is impaired and is not able to function normally. There is sickness. There is spiritual or moral unsoundness or corruption and it begins to affect other organs and tissue. Now, it's not just our eyes, but now our mental stability, our emotional stability, other areas physically, and our financial stability.
"And Jesus summoned to Him His twelve disciples and gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease."
It is not God's will that His Body be sick and diseased. He does not want us to be blind.
2 Peter 1:4-11 (KJV)
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Psalm 103 We see in this Psalm there is a link between sin/forgiveness and illness/healing and yet, he says about the Lord, "who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases" verse 3.

Let us "Rise Up and Be Healed." Let us accept His Healing Power in our lives and let it work in us, and for us, and through us. It's time for the Body of Christ to be healed so that He can use us to heal others.
